The poster embraces dawn; the dawn of a new day, a new life, a new time. The Finnish word “kajastus” translates to "dawn" or "daybreak". It represents new beginnings, hope and renewal – the very thing the Paimio Sanatorium was built to embody.
Using the iconic colours and shapes of the sanatorium’s architecture, I created a calm yet vibrant artwork that evokes the feeling of a positive change, the promise of something better in the horizon. The healing effect of fresh air and daylight sifting through an open window.
